Andria Hoy

Andria Hoy holds a Masters Degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music where she studied with the renowned oboist John Mack. Prior to her studies at CIM, she attended Louisiana State University as a student of Linda Strommen. While a student at LSU, she attended JMOC in 2000 and 2001 and played for the Ohio Light Opera in their 2002 season. In Louisiana, she performed with the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra and the Louisiana Sinfonietta.
Mrs. Hoy is currently Principal Oboe of the Ashland Symphony Orchestra and plays extra with the orchestras of Mansfield, Akron, Canton, and Youngstown Symphonies. She maintains a private oboe studio and has previously been on the faculty at Ashland University and Kent State University Stark.
Mrs. Hoy earned a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science in 2015 and is the Archivist for The Cleveland Orchestra.
